Frequently asked questions
The practical details about sources, models, cohorts and learner privacy.
What is Figurve?
Figurve is an adaptive learning companion that connects course sources, cited chat, exams, flashcards, podcasts, documents and progress in one workspace.
What does self-learning mean?
Figurve privately learns your mastery patterns from signals such as graded exams and flashcard reviews, then adapts explanations, review priorities and suggested next steps. It does not retrain or fine-tune provider model weights on your content.
How is Figurve different from a general chatbot?
It organizes work by course, retrieves exact authorized passages, attaches citations, and turns the same source context into interactive learning tools.
Can I use it without a cohort?
Yes. Every learner can keep private courses. Cohort membership adds shared sources, assignments and instructor-managed policies.
Does Figurve train on my uploads?
No. Figurve does not use your uploads, chats, voice prompts or generated learning work to train AI models. That content is used only to provide and secure the service.
Which files can I upload?
PDF files can be up to 5 GiB and 2,000 pages. Extremely text-heavy, encrypted or unreadable PDFs can still be rejected. DOCX, PPTX, Markdown, plain text, JPG and PNG files can be up to 25 MB each.
Can instructors see private chats?
No. Instructors see aggregate course evidence and published submissions, not a learner's private chat history.
